MARCH 2008 PICTURES

*** caveat: Elsie is now picking the pictures to include here! ***

This is the Roller Coaster road to Desert Hot Springs. This way you keep off the I 10 which is a very busy road. It is a nice drive if you can keep your stomach in one place as you go up and down ... up and down ... up and down ..urp
This is Art and Sandy's pocket pit bull watch dog, Caesar. Only 4 months old ... "have tongue will lick"
Sandy doesn't baby Caesar at all ... right????
Wally and Erma ... happy hours are sure enjoyable
Can you tell that Elsie is having fun???
Another world problem put to rest at the Happy Hour Conference
Art and Sandy are now in Kelowna .... we must drop by this Spring This is a so-called "King Boston Terrier" called Ike. He is huge!!! He tips the scales at over 50 lbs none of which is fat!
Ike is actually not pure Boston. The breeder mated a Boston with an English Bull dog. You can see the Bull Dog in him in this picture. He has the personality of the Boston and the size of the Bull Dog. Great Combination!!!
Area around Desert Hot Pools. Note the snow on the mountains...
We are using ... and trusting ... our Garmin more and more. It goes with us in the toad as well as when we drive Harvey.
On a day trip to this National Park.
Elsie likes these shots ... I don't understand it but ...
Flowers in the desert
More flowers in the desert
Still more flowers in the desert
Yet still more flowers ... get the idea ??? there are flowers in the desert!!!
The next two pictures are Chollas
Yah ... I don't understand it either
with people this time
Rocks in the desert .... hmmmm
Outcropping caused by weathering ... Elsie liked these rocks I guess
still more rocks
Yah ... believe it or not, this is a flowering Joshua Tree
This was taken in Desert Hot Pools park just up from where we were parked. I thought this was neat so I took a lot of pictures. I see only one made it here .... sigh
Double rainbow. Elsie was gone for hours looking for the pot of gold. Have to report that we are still poor.
Spring flowers on the I5 in California
Got to keep Elsie busy on those long drives ....
Heading into the Siskiyous Pass. This is the spot that often is closed due to high snow levels
Lots of Snowbirds heading home ...
But the day was beautiful and the sun was trying to shine
At the very summit is was quite foggy but still dry and bare roads
Oregon Coast at Cannon Beach. This has to be one of our very favourite spots in the world
We were there 5 days and one of them was actually not raining ...
Our watch dogs making sure that we set up Harvey correctly
This was the spot that had safe power ....
No way that the satellite would work with those trees all around
Snow at Dog Patch ... sort of a welcome home gift from the RV Gods
Thurston likes heat. It was hovering around freezing level so he moved his bed to be in front of the furnace outlet. How he takes the high heat, I don't know
Stanley just curls up in a blanket and we cover him up. He is happy
Here Thurston sleeping with the toy so Stanley doesn't get it
Do they look laid back or what???
It is a tough life at DogPatch.
The snow storm in Bellingham as we make our way to the border before our health insurance runs out
