This is the view from Harvey's door. Few People in the Park
|
With so few other people the Lords could roam Free ... and boy do they like that ... except they both think that they are sheep and love to graze
|
These dogs have a whole lot more energy than we do. I guess we need a kid to tire them out. They just love to run |
The weather was great ... but you notice that we only have one Satellite up. We ran out of the assigned Internet Satellite's footprint, and they could not change us to one that would work here. We had to rely on Park WiFi's. |
This is one of the little OutPorts from Port Aux Basque called .. Isle Aux Morts -- Island of the Dead. Boy, wouldn't that look great on a Politician's Bio ... Mayor of the Island of the Dead ... First Name Lucifer??? |
AHHH They have been expecting us ... Newfoundland is criss-crossed by Trail's. This one is named after a person who saved a lot of lives during a shipwreck |
If you can read this ... it explains the Harvey Trail sign in the previous picture |
There is a "LOT" of rock in Newfoundland so cemeteries have to be placed where ever it is possible to dig a decent sized hole. So, you find small ones all over the Island |
Climbed up to this picnic site over looking the Harvey Trail |
Beautiful eh? |
It really wasn't much of a climb, but it looks higher here |
One Beautiful Day!!! |
We wondered just how they get water to these houses and what happens to the sewage ... It is all rock around there |
Mayor Lucifer's headquarters |
Burnt Island Causeway .. roads are a 1950's addition here. Before it would all be boats to get around |
This is the Rose Blanche Light house from Burnt Island -- one of the little Outports you go through on the way to the Lighthouse |
Burnt Island |
Just perched on the sides of the rocks |
All the houses are beautifully kept and painted. If there is any grass, it is always mowed |
Another day we headed to Codroy for Lunch. Ran across this cemetery perched on the hill side |
Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Codroy |
A spectre in the Grave Yard ... Nah .. it's only Elsie trying to keep warm in the wind ... |
